Golf Swing Speed Is More About Tempo Than Swinging Hard (Video)

youtube/embed/hJ9lfwbJm_0?autoplay=1

When you are thinking about your golf game, one of the things that is
the most fun is swinging the club and hearing the sound of a solid shot
off your club head.

Many people will watch a tournament on TV and hear the announcers talk
about a certain players ability to swing quickly. Then you see that
person hit the ball a ton and right down the middle of the fairway and
assume that hitting the ball with a fast swing is the best way to go
for everyone.

That's really not so. When it comes to considering how fast you should
swing, you should really be thinking about creating club head speed
instead. How do you create club head speed? That really has more to do
with the angle you create with your wrist and forearm and how long you
can maintain that angle through the hitting zone.

If you can create this angle, maintain that consistent angle between
your wrist and forearm and then quickly release that angle at the point
of impact and roll your hands over quickly, that is really what will
help you create the club head speed you are looking for.

Also, to generate the most club head speed you will want to consider
balance and arm swing into this equation.

Keeping your body balanced through your swing will help you to create
the club head speed you are looking for which will result in maximizing
the distance of your shot. Swinging too hard will many times result in
you falling off to the back or the front of your swing. Neither of
which is good for the speed or accuracy of your shot. You want to find
that perfect combination of balance in your stance and speed of your
swing that maximizes your effort.

Another thing you want to take into consideration when looking at how
fast should your swing should be is the actual swinging of your arms.
It's really not about how quickly you swing your arms but instead it's
much more about how consistent is the speed of your arms through your
entire swing. If you find yourself being too herky-jerky with the speed
of your swing you won't get the results you are looking for. Meaning,
if you speed up or slow down your swing mid way through the process, it
really doesn't matter how fast you swing the club. You simply won't get
the result you are looking for.

One thing you can do is to go to your local pro shop and ask a pro to
use a Swing Speed Analyzer. This can help you know if you are making
any of these common mistakes and help you to fix them relatively
quickly and cheaply.

So, remember, it's not about swinging harder to get the maximum
distance from your shots. It's more about creating club head speed,
maintain balance through your shot and keeping your swing speed
consistent that will really help you improve in this area.

The zorgium specific results appear in the right hand margin.

Find other ZORGIUM pages using your favorite search engine:

Enter your search keyword(s) and the keyword "zorgium" into the search input field of http://bing.com, http://yahoo.com or http://google.com.

Heads up: There's an ongoing spamdexing of Google searchbot algorithms. Sites that are 'copies of copies' and cloaked sites which include Zorgium keywords presented to search engine crawlers yet garbage content presented to human visitors were hosted on thousands of IP addresses and domains registered immediately after the introduction of Zorgium in November of 2009. The Hostgator/'The Planet'/Softlayer datacenters in Texas seem to be the epicenter of this activity in conjunction with anonymously registered domains of various TLD's but primarily .info domains at Godaddy which, in our opinion, has some sort of connection to the domains of goldmint.in and goldmint.org. Google has begun to notice this and has begun to lower the ranking of these sites and put our original sites back on top of the search rankings. These actions, as far as we can tell, negatively impact the use of the keyword 'zorgium' as a search term and provided little benefit, if any, to the perpetrators.

ZORGIUM note to content providers: If you don't want your page to appear in Zorgium's search abstraction then put an exclusion for "Zorgium" in your web server's robots.txt file.
